According to Jim Geraghty at The Campaign Spot, Larry Johnson is a Hillary supporter. So the following from Johnson's blog, No Quarter USA is, happily, blue on blue fire.
I now have it from two three sources close to senior Republicans that they have video dynamite–Michelle Obama railing against “whitey” at Jeremiah Wright’s church. Republicans may have a lousy record when it comes to the economy and the management of the war in Iraq, but they are hell on wheels when it comes to opposition research. Someone took the chance and started reviewing the recordings from services at Jeremiah Wright’s United Church of Christ. Holy smoke!! I am told there is a clip that is being held for the fall to drop at the appropriate time. The last thing Barack and Michelle need is a new clip that raises further questions about her judgment and temperament. [snip]
When the ugly video tapes about Jeremiah Wright’s racist ravings first broke Barack Obama told us he could no more disown Jeremiah Wright than his own Grandmother. Well, we all know how that turned out. So will Barack stand by Michelle when the tape emerges of her verbally attacking “whitey?” Republicans, who are otherwise gloomy about prospects in November, recognize that this recording will create real problems for Barack and give them a shot at the White House. It is their October surprise.
Does Barack have an obligation to tell the Democrats, super delegates in particular, about this tape? Did Barack and his campaign do their basic homework and identify this tape as a potential problem? And, more importantly, do they have a copy? Probably better to deal with this issue before the convention rather than wait for October. What do you think?
Now who would ever believe Michelle Obama would say something like that? Pass the popcorn.

I tend to discount this report for one reason only, if Shillary, or a Shillary supporter had access to this nuclear dirt bomb, it would have been used long ago.
As the evil forces of the Obama started to sweep in over the Fulda gap, Shillary would have or should have gone Nuclear Dirt bomb. Sense she didn't, and there are many Dr. Strangelove supporters of Shillary who would have no problem with stopping Obama no matter what the cost, if this tape existed, it would be out there now.
To claim that the clip exists and is being kept in reserve for the general stretches a common sense understanding of how much those that support Shillary and how much the Clintons want to win.

Considering the background cited, I'd say the person who has the tapes, if the exist, is a member of the church, and may not be willing to hand them over for the benefit of helping Hillary, whom they might blame for creating the whole Rev. Wright issue. If they exist, it's going to be used in a Pyrrhic, "a pox on both your houses" attack.
Therefore, if true, this is possibly the best news McCain's had all year, although I don't give it the best of odds.

The sad fact is keeping secrets, especially of this sort, would be darn near impossible. One person tells another..tells another...etc etc. I just don't believe that this tape could exist without word of it getting out.
Ok, so maybe I'm wrong and now it will now leak, but the assertion that Republicans would leak it is perhaps a black ops measure to give the forces of Shillary plausible deniability, using my best Oliver Stone there's a conspiracy under every rock voice.

1. IF the video is real it will have to be run by a 527, there is no way McCain will run it.
2. If a 527 does run it, McCain will denounce them for bringing the truth to the American people just like he did with the SwiftVets.
3. I can see a scenario where HRC would not need to actually play the video as a campaign ad. She could show it to a very small handful of committed BO delagates who would then switch to her and make a few phone calls. The reason for this tack being that she could get 100% of the white vote in the remaining primaries and it won't make a difference. The D nomination is about the Super Delagates, period.
4. That said, I think Larry is full of it.

As a college graduate of two years ago, I proudly say that I put those sorts of libations down sophomore year. My friends and I decided after 2 years of drinking the Beast, plastic handles of vodka and whiskey (Dubra and Black Velvet which makes my stomach turn to even type)no more. We swore off anything that didn't come in glass, and if we were going to buy beer, it could not taste like urine with a side of water. These rules did not apply to other people's house parties of course, merely our own personal liquor stash. It was a better use of money because while we got less alcohol at the liquor store, it all tasted better. Nothing like a good tequila-Patron for me, nothing less will do.

About $13-15 a case for Beast around here.
Back in the mid-90's we used to get Landmark for about $10 a case. It wasn't as good as PBR but it was something like 4.9% alcohol by volume. It got bad after a while but that was the best we could do to supply band practices on our budget.
